Looping City

Made for the 2025 GMTK Jam

Looping city is a cozy citybuilding game where you (A small UFO) loop around a planet and place buildings.

The goal of the game is to gather as many points as possible. This is done by building buildings on the planet with the limited space you have. 

Some buildings grant resources used to build other buildings, some grant points, others grant both. Some buildings have synergies with other buildings if placed next to them. Leftover resources also grant points, but not many compared to buildings.

The buildings you can build can be seen on the right side of the bottom UI. Select one with left click, then right click to place it where your character is currently located. You can only place buildings if you have the resources for that building and there is space for it. You can destroy nearby buildings by right clicking while no building is selected. Destroying costs Coins.

The buildings seen on the left side of the bottom UI are the incoming buildings that will be placed in your hand once you expend a building already there.

Information on specific buildings can be found in the ingame tutorial & UI.

Controls:

Left click: Navigate UI

Right click: Place selected building. If no building is selected, delete closest building.

Made by me and my friend. I handled the programming and he handled the visuals. This was his first game.
